Apple recently released iOS 11.4 and along with it is the much-anticipated Airplay 2. Airplay 2 enables multi-room audio to Airplay-compatible devices: Macs, Apple TVs, and Homepods. Basically, it just means you can play audio simultaneously to all devices located in different part of your house.

This becomes an instant fit for my project and a hit in our household. For example, waking up, sometimes, I would like to play an easy, relaxing music so I’d fire up a ‘chill’ playlist to slowly bring my mood up to speed. Having a multi-room audio makes this much enjoyable. I can be in our room preparing for my day while I listen to the music. Or I can be in our kitchen enjoying a coffee and listening to the same tune.
